Effective adult leader training plays a key roll in insuring the success of the Royal Rangers program. The Royal Rangers program provides many opportunities for leader training through online, district, and national training opportunities.
We are pleased to have more quality online training now available in Royal Rangers. This training can be completed in the comfort and convenience of a leader's own home according to their own schedule of availability, at a minimal cost. Available courses include the critically important Ranger Safety course required for all leaders, Ranger Foundations, and Continuous Learning Electives. See the online training page for more information and to connect to the Royal Rangers Online Training System to purchase courses.
Conducted under the direction of district Royal Rangers leadership, district training is offered periodically throughout the year. Contact your district training coordinator for your district's training schedule.
Conducted under the direction of the national Royal Rangers leadership, national training camps & conferences are held at various locations around the country each year. See the national training schedule page for a list of events.
Additional "Continuous Learning Electives" that expand a leader’s skills or competencies are also available online or through your district. Details can be found on the Continuous Learning Electives page.
The Outpost Leader Advancement Levels (OLAL) process represents a comprehensive system of adult leader training, combining both district and national training events to equip leaders with the skills they need to be an effective leader in the local outpost. The OLAL process includes four levels of training - Ready, Safety, Trained, and Advanced - providing leaders with a complete knowledge of the tools and resources available to them and their outpost. Details on the OLAL process can be found on the Outpost Leader Advancement Levels page.
