NSSP Membership

If you have an interest in shooting sports, whether it be archery, BB gun, air rifle, small bore, shot gun, or black powder, then the Royal Rangers National Shooting Sports Program (NSSP) is the place for you. The NSSP is a special program of Royal Rangers that promotes the safe and responsible participation in shooting sports. Launched in May 2001, the NSSP exists to support the mission and purpose of Royal Rangers while promoting a safe and rewarding shooting sports experience for all.

 

Members receive the following benefits:

  • Access to the NSSP corporate partnership discount program
  • Membership card
  • Sticker
  • Embroidered patch
  • Affiliate patch to be worn on your utility uniform

 

Membership requirements: Boys (under 18)

 

Be a member of a chartered outpost and at least a Discovery Ranger.

Earn any two of the following merits:

  • Advanced Archery (silver)
  • Air Gun Safety (blue)
  • Air Rifle (green)
  • Archery (green)
  • BB Gun (blue or green)
  • Black Powder Safety (silver)
  • Black Powder Shooting (silver)
  • Hunters Education/Safety (silver)
  • Marksmanship (blue)
  • Shotgun Safety (silver)
  • Shot Gun Shooting (silver)
  • Smallbore Safety (silver)
  • Smallbore Shooting (silver)

Participate in a Royal Rangers postal match.

Help organize and run a shooting sports event at your outpost, section, division, or district.

Apply for NSSP membership and include a membership fee of $25.

 

Membership requirements: Adults

 

Be a member of a chartered outpost or be a member of Royal Rangers Alumni.

Earn one of the following certifications and attach a copy of your certification to your application:

  • NASP or Centershot Basic Archery Instructor (BAI)
  • NRA Range Safety Officer
  • NRA Rifle, Shotgun, or Muzzle Loader Instructor
  • NRA Rifle or Shotgun coach

Participate in a Royal Rangers postal match applicable to leaders.

Help organize and run a shooting sports event at your outpost, section, division or district.

Apply for NSSP membership and include a membership fee of $35.
