Royal Rangers is doubling down on its mission to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men. To accomplish the vision of influencing more boys than ever, more effectively than ever, they have launched the EveryBoy Initiative. Karl Fleig, national director, says, “Today our young people, and especially our boys, are under greater attack than at any other time in our history. Culture is actively working to wipe out God’s design of a man and a woman. We must be more intentional than ever to address the needs of this generation.”
Royal Rangers is determined to address these needs by ensuring every boy is afforded the chance to have four unique opportunities. Every boy must have the following:
There was a time in our nation’s culture when these four opportunities happened naturally as boys and girls grew up in a healthy community. As culture continues to fracture, the work of the local church becomes clearer. Royal Rangers/Boys Ministries and Girls Ministries stand as examples of what the Bible defines as a healthy dynamic mentoring process. Men and women who are mature in the Lord intentionally engaging in the lives of boys and girls to teach them the Word (disciple) and to live by example through a healthy relationship with them (mentoring) what it means to be a Christlike man or woman. Over more than sixty years, Royal Rangers has helped develop men who in turn have addressed these needs in the lives of over three million boys.
Royal Rangers/Boys Ministries, through the EveryBoy Initiative, is committing to come alongside any church that desires to help the boys in its community. “By providing training and resources, we want to see every church equipped to effectively evangelize, equip, and empower boys in its community,” says Fleig. “Furthermore, through a strategic partnership with the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions and other churches and individuals, who are committed to reaching every boy in the US, we are eliminating charter fees and curriculum costs so that finances are not an obstacle.”
Royal Rangers/Boys Ministries stands ready to help local churches either by giving them the tools and ability to create their own ministry for reaching boys or by providing the established and proven ministry of Royal Rangers. “We have learned what is necessary to engage a boy in the process of becoming a Christlike man, and we are committed to making this happen however it looks,” says Fleig. “As a ministry, we are doing our part. We need churches and individuals to partner with us to make this happen!”
The need is threefold: prayer, partnering, and promoting. Help by praying for the boys of our nation. There is a spiritual assault against them. Consider helping us cover the costs of reaching boys by becoming a monthly partner. This initiative has been approved as a specialized ministry of the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions, and all contributions from churches will receive missions giving credit. Business and individual gifts are tax deductible. Finally, help us promote this initiative. Let churches and individuals know of this opportunity. Together we can ensure that every boy hears about Jesus and discovers the man God created him to be.
